Body20 Menlyn Maine Trainers
Bruce has been involved in sport and fitness his entire adult life. Even though he is well-established in the corporate world, he trains daily and views healthy living and exercise as non-negotiable aspects of his personal life. He played professional basketball for South Africa and is still involved with the sport at community level – not only participating, but coaching the younger generation. He is a natural motivator and is passionate about inspiring people to achieve more than even they thought they were capable of achieving. He leads by example and believes that he and his team has to set the example to inspire each and every person that entrusts their fitness journey to them. “Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit.”
Charlene is the unexpected element in this ultra-dynamic team. As a young girl she was involved in various forms of dancing, leading an extremely active life in all spheres of cultural activities – always on the go, resulting in friends at university referring to her as an energiser bunny. This, however, changed drastically as she was faced with various health set-backs as a young adult - resulting in unwanted changes in her body that led to years of battling body image and weight issues. Understanding this journey and the ongoing challenges women face to deal with it, makes her an invaluable asset in this team. Changing your body goes hand in hand with changing the way you think and this is her speciality! ”Whether you think you can or think you can’t – you’re right. Words and thoughts are free – it is how you use them that may cost you!”

Willem LudekeSENIOR CHAMP
Willem is the youngest member of the Body20 Faerie Glen team, but do not mistake his youth for a lack in commitment or hard work. He studies Sport Science at the University of Pretoria and represents TUKS in their U/21 rugby team. He also plays U/21 Currie Cup at the Pumas rugby Union. He couches Primary School Rugby at U/9 and U/11 level. Although rugby is his first love, anything regarding fitness and a healthy lifestyle is his passion. Willem is the only fitness addict in his family, giving him unique knowledge on how to motivate any individual that crosses his path. He has a soft but firm approach and a unique sense of humour that will uplift you and brighten anyone’s day. His goal is to help you to become the best “you” that you can be and to be proud of yourself. His motto? In his own words – “I am a sucker for motivational YouTube videos!” But he definitely lives his motto – Strive for progress, not perfection
